Canadian coffee giant Tim Hortons is opening on New Street and the first person in the queue will get a year's supply of free coffee.

The coffee chain, famous for its mini doughnuts called Timbits, will also be giving away free lunches to the first 100 people in the queue.

The shop, on the corner of New Street and Temple Street, is opening on November 22.

They will have a breakfast and lunch menu with sandwiches, wraps and paninis and toasties which are all made to order.

The first Tim Hortons in the UK opened its doors in Glasgow in June 2017 with fans travelling from across the country and queuing overnight to sample the brand's famed coffee and baked goods.

As Tim Hortons rolls out nationwide, a further 17 restaurants are now serving guests in and around Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester and Belfast with excitement levels showing no signs of dropping.
