The team behind Zindiya in Moseley will open a new restaurant in April.
The Tap & Tandoor will replace The Saddlers Arms in Solihull.
The Saddlers Arms, located in Warwick Road near Mell Square Shopping Centre, closed permanently in May 2017 citing tough trading conditions.
The new venue, which has been dubbed by owners as an Indian gastro pub, will serve a range of craft beers alongside traditional Indian grilled dishes and curry.
As with Zindiya, a cocktail menu will be pulled together by Smultronstalle's Rob Wood.
There will be a refurbishment of the pub, as well as a new kitchen and a design mixing the traditional pub with Indian heritage, and space for up to 80 diners.
Zindiya, owned by Ajay and Shivani Kenth, is an Indian street food eatery opened in Woodbridge Road, Moseley in February 2017. It recently celebrated its first birthday.
Ajay said of the pub: "This is a completely different concept to Zindiya, this is more about restoring a once iconic pub to its former glory albeit with a few changes that we are hoping people will really take to their heart.
"Zindiya was one borne out of my wife and I’s passion for Indian street food and the Tap & Tandoor is being created out of love for the Great British pub which is constantly under threat.
"We will use the skills and knowledge that we have picked up with Zindiya but the pub will stand on its own.
"Although the term gastro pub is used liberally in many places, we hope to deliver exceptional food at reasonable prices and make sure people are pleased with our food offering whilst retaining that pub feel.
"By introducing craft beer, of which there is a lack of in Solihull, we are offering something different to the area.
"We know the Solihull market well as we have a lot of friends and family who frequent the area and we have spent a lot of our time here but we have always struggled to find somewhere that we can enjoy a nice beer alongside food that we love to eat."
The Tap & Tandoor will create 15 new jobs in the area.
It will open from 12pm-12am six days a week with food served all day.
