Following successful years in London and Leeds, the O2 Wireless Festival is coming to Birmingham this weekend with the O2 Wireless Weekenders.

Combining some of the hottest established and up-and-coming acts with workshops from experts on how to succeed in the music industry, the O2 Wireless Weekender is set to be a jammed packed event.

The O2 Wireless Weekender will feature Scouting For Girls, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Elliot Minor, the Holloways and Sam Sparro.

In addition to the live gigs, each O2 Wireless Weekender event will host an O2 Undiscovered workshop for those aspiring to break into in the music industry. Music enthusiasts will be able to get practical advice and guidance from a wide range of experts on how to get ahead in the music industry.

The O2 Undiscovered workshops will take place on Saturday afternoon. Each of the events will be open from 11-3pm and have access to a panel of seven experts including: A&R, artist management, successful musician, producer, music lawyer, promoter, venue owner and music agents. The expert panel will be giving talks, answering questions and providing advice to any musicians or individual wanting a job in the music industry.

As well as the headline gigs and workshops, Sunday night will have a totally different feel. Celebrations of the music heritage of Birmingham, it will be brought to life with film nights free to O2 customers in selected local arts theatres.

"Over the past three years, the O2 Wire-less Festival has established itself as one of the UK's top music events, entertain-ing music fans in London and Leeds and providing O2 customers with unique VIP experiences.

With the O2 Wireless Weekenders we can bring everything that's great about O2 Wireless to even more UK cities, including some of the best up-and-coming acts and advice and guidance for people looking to break into the music industry." said Sally Cowdry, Marketing Director, O2 UK O2 Wireless Weekenders Featured Artists

Sam Sparro crashed into the UK charts with debut single, Black and Gold, immediately justifying the huge critical swell that saw him marked out as the tip of 2008. With his debut eponymous album out now, catch him at this intimate show while you can.

Scouting For Girls are no strangers to chart success, scoring six weeks in the singles chart with debut She's So Lovely and sprinting past the platinum sales mark for their eponymous debut album which entered the album charts at number one.

Does It Offend You, Yeah? have been gaining notoriety for their whirlwind live shows that blend the dynamics of rock with the energy of an acid house club. One of a clutch of UK acts bringing a new feel to the live scene, they stand at the forefront of a new generation of UK artists.
