It was the second night of his tour and soul singer Tyler James was greeted by an enthusiastic set of fans when he finally joined the six musicians supporting him at the Glee Club on Tuesday night.

The 30 year-old, from east London, is enjoying his second shot at fame after coming third in the BBC talent show The Voice.

And he was clearly determined to give everyone who had turned up to see him the best night he could.

Tyler sang his new songs from his album, A Place I Go, with passion and purpose - despite suffering from a pretty bad cold.

He enjoyed several chatty interchanges with crowd in the intimate and casual surroundings of the venue and received a heart felt 'ahhh' as a stage and brought him a mug of honey and lemon to ease his illness.

Tyler's bravery at having a shot at the music industry after being dropped by his record company in 2005, overcoming his alcohol addictions, especially after seeing his close friend Amy Winehouse dying aged 27, won him much praise.
