The Global Gathering festival at Stratford-upon-Avon will not only deliver a line up of some of the mightiest names in dance music, but it is aiming to unleash some incredible visuals for its 50,000 fans.
Brand new for 2009 is ‘The Godskitchen Boombox’, a colossal rectangular structure that will house the state-of-the-art DJ equipment in the infamous Godskitchen Arena, but will also act as a giant screen from which a combination of lighting, LEDs and visuals can be projected in perfect synchronisation with the music. The Godskitchen Arena, Europe’s largest marquee, is renowned for combining the biggest DJs on the planet with groundbreaking production values that bedazzle the 15,000 capacity crowd.
At over 16 metres wide, 8 metres high and 6 metres deep the structure combines next generation technology, architecture and art.
Armin Van Buuren and David Guetta are just a couple of the headliners set to perform in The ‘Godskitchen Boombox’. Armin was just voted #1 in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 poll, while David Guetta’s brand of electronic French house music has long been a recipe for chart success.
Armin says: "There’s no better place on Earth than at two in the morning in the Godskitchen arena when 15,000 people are having the best night of their lives. This is the only place for me, which is why I have chosen to play Global Gathering as my exclusive festival performance of 2009"
