A popular tyre brand will host the finals of their Battle of the Bands talent hunt on the concourse of the Barclaycard Arena in December.

Firestone are again providing a platform for acts to prove themselves as part of their ongoing efforts to reach a youthful audience through music.

The final of the competition will be held at the Barclaycard Arena on December 7 with the best acts getting the chance to perform on the Firestone Stage as pre-show entertainment.

Stuart Attfield, brand manager at Firestone, said: "We are thrilled to be running Battle of the Bands for a second year, following an extraordinary successful competition in 2015.

"We see Battle of the Bands as being adventurous, bold and full of originality. We think it is unique for the tyre industry to be thinking along these lines and we can't wait for the entries to come in to us."

Last year, Birmingham act Rituals were crowned winners of the entire competition after seeing off entries from over 200 other acts.

Ben Sharman, sponsorship sales manager at the Barclaycard Arena, said: "Firestone created a unique initiative for emerging bands to showcase their talents last year, and we were delighted to welcome the shortlisted acts to the Barlcaycard Arena.

"We are thrilled to be part of the competition again and we can't wait to welcome the shortlisted acts for the final in December. We wish everyone all the best of luck."
