A collection of never-before-seen original sketches and drawings by the late Govinder Nazran will go on display at a Birmingham art gallery in July.

More than 100 original sketches and drawings will be on show, together with a limited edition book documenting Nazran's published work over nine years, following a partnership with Birmingham publishers Washington Green Fine Art Publishing.

The exhibition has been made possible thanks to his wife, Sarah, who recently discovered a treasure trove of the artist’s private sketchbooks in his studio, following his death in December 2008 at the age of 44.

The collection can be seent at Castle Fine Art, in the International Convention Centre, from July 2–14. The gallery is open on Monday to Saturday 10am-6pm and on Sunday 11am-5pm. Prices for the sketches start from £1,250. More details at www.castlegalleries.com.
