One of Highbury Little Theatre's leading lights confused himself and the AA on a business trip up North recently.

Rob Phillips' mission was taking him to Warrington and then to Blackburn, but when he returned to his car in a high open-air Warrington car park its battery was flat so he hollered for help. When the AA man had not arrived after some little time, he rang again.

The AA man said, "But where are you?"

"I'm in the car park", Rob assured him.

"So am I", said the AA man, understandably bemused.

They agreed that Rob should go to the gate, on the far side of the car park, and start waving. He did so, without result.

The slight problem was that Rob was in a car park in Warrington and the AA man was in a car park in Blackburn 40 miles up the road. In giving directions to his knight in shining armour, Rob had inadvertently pointed him to what was due to be his next port of call.

Rob's most recent Highbury venture found him camping it up outrageously in the production of Trivial Pursuits, by Frank Vickery, which ended on Saturday.
