Two major retailers have taken on huge new stores at intu Merry Hill.

The latest in at the Merry Hill Shopping Centre are budget store B&M and supermarket chain Iceland.

The new stores are situated on the retail park which forms part of intu Merry Hill, with occupiers including Matalan, Hobbycraft, Currys PC World, DFS, Home Bargains and Pets at Home.

B&M has taken the larger store, meaning it will be selling its budget range of furniture, home accessories, electrical, food and drink goods.

Charlie Greenhalgh, out-of-town retail director at Savills, which acted for Merry Hill, said it showed the strength of Merry Hill.

He said: “We are delighted to have secured two national brands for intu Merry Hill, further enhancing the retail park’s already strong line-up. The steady flow of lettings is testament to the ongoing success of the scheme.”

The larger letting is to B&M, which has agreed a new 15-year lease for a 31,000 sq ft store, while Iceland will occupy an 8,392 sq ft store on a 10-year lease.
