Here's the story of one Boundless member's unforgettable experience

Alison Leese will remember her Maserati moment for a long time.

The 47 year-old from Birmingham enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Modena – the home of the supercar - after winning a competition with Boundless .

Her father had been a member of the club for many years.

She came on board in 2003 after eligibility was opened up to family members of public sector workers.

And so to Italy for Alison after her competition win.

She and her brother were flown to Bologna, where they were picked up in a chauffeur-driven Maserati Quattroporte and taken to their four-star hotel in Modena.

They both dined that night at Ferrari’s Ristorante Cavallino, but the petrol-headed fun had not even started.

The next morning they were taken to Maserati’s factory for a private tour before the moment they had both waited for.

They took the reins of a Maserati Ghibli and were set loose in the beautiful Emilia-Romagna countryside – the test route for the famous sports cars.

“Getting to drive the Maserati was a dream come true,” said Alison.

“I’m a big motoring fan but I’d never done anything like this before.

"The views were stunning, and we drove the car though the windy mountainous roads like you see people do on TV, but thinking ‘I’ll never get to do that,’ but we actually did.”

To cap off their authentic Italian experience, they visited a balsamic vinegar museum before dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

“What an incredible, amazing, out-of this-world three days we were treated to," she said.

"We absolutely had the best times of our lives, and Boundless took care of us from start to finish. Just thinking about it still makes me smile.”

Take advantage of everyday savings

From the extraordinary to the everyday, Alison continues to get her household, car and travel insurance through Boundless insurance partner LV=.

She said: “Boundless has definitely saved me money, I couldn’t possibly say exactly how much, but over the years many hundreds of pounds with insurance, food, shows and travel discounts.

"Boundless, has been a part of my life all my life and has given me some very special moments.”

Alison is inspired to do more

Her trip has sparked a desire to try new things, with the help of Boundless’s wide range of exclusive experiences and travel offers.

“I haven’t fitted in the British F1 GP or MotoGP yet and I’d love to do Goodwood Festival of Speed or Revival one year," she said.

“I feel Boundless is like my iceberg… I’ve only tapped into 10% of its potential so far and I look forward to exploring more and making new friends.”

Public sector and civil service employees can join Boundless for £25 a year - that is £2.08 a month - and access a full range of events, experiences and offers.

They also receive the award-winning Boundless Magazine six times a year, which features inspiration for activities and destinations.
