Following A-Level results day this week, did you know you could take your next step to university in Solihull?

Solihull College & University Centre will be holding a higher education advice day for prospective students looking to start their studies this September on Tuesday, August 21, from 2pm - 6pm at Blossomfield Campus.

The college's facilities are unmatched in the region, with recent investment in virtual reality and industry-standard science laboratories at Blossomfield Campus and the Centre for Advanced Aeronautical Provision, featuring world-class flight simulators and a former Royal Navy aircraft at the Woodlands Campus.

Students can study a range of courses at the college

The new university centre at Blossomfield also gives students the chance to relax and work in an area designed solely for those studying higher education programmes, away from the hustle and bustle of the college.

With extremely competitive fees compared to many universities, the college offers students the chance to stay local and save thousands on their degree.

Many courses are offered full and part-time, allowing students to fit their studies around work and family life.

The college was recently delighted to be shortlisted in the 'Further Education College' category at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2018.

The nomination reflects the student voice and is based entirely on the students' opinions of the service that they are receiving.

Dean of Higher Education, Sue McGregor, said: "This is a real reflection of the efforts made by the entire higher education team.

"We work extremely hard to offer students a fantastic experience."

Graduating students from the college

The college was also awarded a Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold rating for its university level provision - the only college in the West Midlands to achieve this, beating any top Russell Group universities.

Students can study on courses offered in collaboration with top universities, including Oxford Brookes, Newman, Coventry, Northampton and Warwick, as well as the college's own programmes and new provision with merger partner, Stratford-Upon-Avon College.
