They’re back! The Plymouth Live Business Awards are returning in 2021 with new categories but a live ceremony as glamorous as always – so submit your nominations now.

The popular awards had to be postponed in 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns made staging them impossible.

But Reach Plc – parent firm of Plymouth Live, Business Live, The Herald and Western Morning News – has decided that now, more than ever, it is important to honour Plymouth's brightest and best companies and business brains.

So the awards are being relaunched and will spotlight the firms that are making Plymouth’s economy tick – and doing well as the city rebounds from the Covid-19 crisis.

The Plymouth Live Business Awards have been launched and entries can be made now

There are new categories for marine business of the year, apprenticeship development and a special award for operating in the face of adversity.

And the awards will culminate in a live, black tie event on November 3, 2021, at Plymouth Pavilions.

In previous years about 500 people attended the glitzy knees-up which was widely considered one of the key dates in the Plymouth business calendar.

And with no event taking place in 2020, it is expected the hunger for a high-profile shindig to celebrate everything that is great about business in Plymouth will be even greater.

Details on how to purchase tickets will be made available soon. In the meantime, to register your interest, contact Simone.Joynes@reachplc.com

But you can celebrate and reward companies and individuals by nominating them for the Plymouth Live Business Awards NOW.

You can nominate, here www.plymouthbusinessawards.com

The nomination period is open from TODAY, June 14, until Tuesday, August 17, 2021, and businesses and individuals are urged to waste no time in entering. Finalists will be announced in September.

The awards are headline sponsored this year by the University of Plymouth and City College Plymouth, with other category sponsors including Plymouth Science Park, Plymouth Citybus, YGS Landscapes and BD Diagnostics.
