Bookies are very confident Jack Dromey will hold the Birmingham Erdington seat in the 2015 General Election despite Robert Alden returning as a challenger.

Labour's Dromey is 100/1 on with Paddy Power to secure the seat again at the General Election, while he is 50/1 on at William Hill and 33/1 on at Ladbrokes.

His challenger is Mr Alden, who has been a councillor on the ward since 2006 and leads the Conservative party on the city council. He fought the same seat last year, securing a swing of more than 10 per cent.

However, he is a 16/1 shot at William Hill and Paddy Power and 20/1 with Ladbrokes.

The bookies give UKIP little hope in Erdington, at between 33/1 and 25/1 and are writing off the Lib Dems chances with all going for 100/1.

All odds are subject to change and were correct at the time this story was written.
