Bentley has revealed the most luxurious Mulsanne in the company's history - the hand-built Mulliner Limousine.

The Crewe-based luxury car maker has designed a four-seat limousine complete with a bottle cooler with frosted glass and cystal flutes, a handcrafted wood and leather interior and 'smart glass' that changes from clear to opaque at the touch of a button.

The Bentley Mulsanne Grand Limousine has been commissioned by a private buyer, who specified aeroplane-style seating in the back, with two sets of seats facing each other. The car itself is one meter longer than the new Mulsanne and comes with a one-off engraved Flying 'B' mascot with the name of the coach builder.

The car is the first Bentley to use 'smart glass', which can change from standard to opaque by pressing a button.

Other additions include a veneer table, bespoke tumbler glasses for soft drinks and unique alloy wheels. Mulliner, Bentley's in-house coach builder for the past 100 years, has also added a one-off grille design and two-tone silver and blue paint for the exterior.

Wolfgang Dürheimer, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, says: “The attention to detail, quality, creativity and skill applied to every Mulliner commission is truly unique in the automotive world.”

The one-off luxury limousine was revealed as Bentley attends the Geneva Motor Show. The British car maker has announced an updated Mulsanne range, with tweaks to the exterior design and more bespoke options for the inside of the car including new leather colours.
