Worcester No 8 Drew Hickey has been cited following a challenge which left Gloucester captain Adam Balding nursing a fractured cheekbone during last weekend's Guinness Premiership match at Sixways.
Balding suffered a triple fracture after what looked like a shoulder barge early on in the bad-tempered derby and is due to undergo surgery this week and will probably not play until early November.
Hickey, aged 27, has been reported for "dangerous charging" after the Premiership citing officer studied footage of the sixth-minute incident and could be banned for between two and 12 weeks if found guilty,
The Australian will appear before a threeman Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel in London on Tuesday but will be available for selection for Sunday's match with London Irish.
