A man in a clown mask forced his way into a Worcestershire house and stole a man's Christmas savings, police said.

The offender, wearing a rubber mask, knocked on the door of a property in Baxters Walk, Malvern, at around 8.45pm on Sunday. When the homeowner answered, he was pushed inside and threatened into handing over his savings.

Det Con Jez Hazlewood, said: "The occupant sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and was obviously left extremely shaken. He was simply just answering his front door.

"We believe that there would have been a number of people around at the time, which either saw the incident or the 'clown' immediately before or afterwards and I would urge them to get in touch."

The offender is described as around 5'10", of stocky, broad shouldered build. He was wearing a rubber clown mask, a black bomber jacket, navy jeans and black boots.
