The Warwickshire County Cricket Club ground will have a feminine but business-like atmosphere this week when it hosts its first-ever Ladies Day.
Friday's charity fund-raiser, described as stylish but informal, at the Edgbaston ground, in Birmingham, is aimed at women in the business community.
Organisers said it would be ideal for any women working in or looking to start their own business, offering an opportunity to meet new business contacts and to build on existing ones.
The event is in aid of Women Active In Today’s Society (WAITS), a charity that helps females get back into business after illness, and organiser Jackie Kelly said she wanted to “offer another opportunity for women and inspire females to get back into business.” Guests can bring along any unwanted business wear items and accessories for the charity ‘swap shop’ which will then be donated to WAITS.
* Tickets cost £25 per person, a mention of The Birmingham Post on arrival gives a £5 reduction.
