A woman and two children have escaped with minor injuries after the vehicle they were in came to rest upside down in a ditch near Stourbridge.

The crash happened near the Enville Golf Course club house and Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport, at Bobbington, just before 9am on Wednesday.

Ambulance crews arrived to find a 4x4 vehicle upside down in a ditch facing the wrong way with the woman and two young girls standing at the side of the road.

An ambulance spokesman said: “One of the two girls was complaining of lower back pain so was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley, as a precaution for further assessment.

"The other youngster and woman also went to the same hospital for check ups.”
