A woman has been quizzed by detectives over the murder of a man in south Birmingham.
The body of a man was found at a house in Alcester Road, Moseley, at 4pm on Saturday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and a forensic post-mortem revealed he had suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest.
A woman, aged 43, was arrested later on Saturday afternoon on suspicion of the man’s murder.
On Sunday afternoon, detectives were given extra time to detain her for questioning.
The victim’s next of kin have been traced and were being supported by specially trained police family liaison officers.
Police officers have remained at the property since Saturday to conduct a detailed examination of the scene for clues to the killing.
A force spokesman said: “Officers were called to an address in Alcester Road, Moseley. On arrival they found the body of a male who was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A 43-year-old woman from Birmingham was arrested and is being questioned by detectives.”
