Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered head injuries following an incident outside an Indian restaurant in Solihull.

Officers were called to an incident outside Shimla Pinks Restaurant in Station Road at 2.20am on Sunday.

A 29-year-old man had suffered injuries to his head and is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Five men in their early twenties have been arrested in connection with the incident. Four have been bailed pending further enquiries and one is still in custody.
