Birmingham Hippodrome is offering a child the chance to win a walk-on part in this year’s pantomime Dick Whittington.

The prize is part of a charity auction, The Big Give, which will raise money for the theatre’s development trust.

The lucky winner will be given the chance to appear in the pantomime finale in costume alongside Joan Collins and her leading men, Julian Clary, Nigel Havers, Keith Harris and Orville and Jeffrey Holland.

All funds raised in the auction will help to fund various theatre projects including education and access work, new programming and the cost of maintaining the building. The whole prize includes a private buffet, best seats in the house, a magical backstage tour, goody-bags and the chance to have photos taken with the cast.

Anyone interested in bidding needs to visit www.thebiggive.org.uk/auction/ and the auction will run between November 25 and December 5.

* Dick Whittington opens at Birmingham Hippodrome on Saturday, December 18, and runs until January 30.
