White Stripes cancel UK tour

Rock duo The White Stripes have cancelled all dates on their upcoming UK tour, which was set to include a visit to the NEC Arena on October 28.

Rock duo The White Stripes have cancelled all dates on their upcoming UK tour, which was set to include a visit to the NEC Arena on October 28.

The band's website says drummer Meg White "is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time. The White Stripes sincerely apologise to their fans. We hate to let people down and are very sorry." The band has cancelled all dates scheduled for 2007.

All purchased tickets for the tour should be returned to the original point of purchase for a full refund.
