Following bowed heads and sheepish looks last week lawyers DAC Beachcroft produced a vastly improved performance in the Warwickshire Taverners Trophy.

Improving on a score of 44 all out against GVA last week this week they set a very testing total of 174 for the surveyors of CP Bigwood to chase. Jon Hill hit 38 before being called back to the pavilion.

CP Bigwood got close but with retirements and a stunning catch by Rich Deering the surveyors came up just short.

The Phoenix Group made it four wins from four after Gateleys were restricted to 93 for 6. Darren Kok continued his good form, seeing Phoenix home by nine wickets.

Whilst Phoenix maintained their 100% record, Gateleys have now lost all four of their fixtures and will not be making it to finals day.

Investec made it two wins in the competition with a comprehensive victory over accountants PWC.

Week 11: DAC Beachcroft 174-2 in 16 overs (Jon Hill 38 retired, Will Irving 35, Michael Morris 35) beat CP Bigwood 166-5 (Joe Jobson 38 not out, Rory Daly 32 not out) by 9 runs; Investec 169-3 in 14.2 overs (A Reynolds 35 retired, S Long 36 not out) beat PWC 168-4 in 16 overs (D West 30) by 7 wickets; Phoenix Group 96-1 in 9.1 overs (Kok 35 retired) beat Gateleys 93-6 in 16 overs (Zarno 2/12) by 9 wickets.
