An award-winning family butcher, renowned for its A-list clientele, has been crowned the UK’s top Butcher’s Shop of the Year 2012.
Aubrey Allen, of Warwick Street, Leamington Spa, defended its title as the region’s favourite butcher before claiming the prestigious overall national award, organised by Meat Trades Journal.
The business, which is 80 next year, received overwhelming recognition for its quality and service at the annual awards.
Aubrey Allen, which has its headquarters at Coventry and specialises in dry aged beef, has launched a successful online store and supplies some of the UK’s top chefs, including Heston Blumenthal, Raymond Blanc and Alain Roux.
Managing director Russell Allen said: “We are so thrilled to win the most coveted award in our industry.
“We have always strived for quality and this ultimate tribute is testimony to all the hard work over nearly 80 years.”
