People were told to stay indoors and roads were closed after a Second World War bomb found in a Birmingham garden was inspected by experts.

West Midlands Police said the device was found in a garden on Montpelier Street, Erdington.

The bomb was later declared to be inert after after being assessed by an Army bomb squad.
