Hollywood actor Christopher Walken is set to play Birmingham's Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, in a new film charting the excesses of legendary US rock band Motley Crue.
Best known for his roles in The Deer Hunter, Pulp Fiction and Batman Returns, Walken will appear as the bat-biting rocker as a cameo-role in The Dirt, due to be released in 2008.
It is reported that he will recreate the Aston-born Black Sabbath frontman's infamous ant-snorting stunt, in which he hoovered up a line of insects after mistaking them for a line of cocaine.
Vince Neil, who fronts Motley Crue, lifted the lid on Walken's part on ABC News Radio, and said: "How funny is that going to be?"
The film is based on the band's autobiography, The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band, which documents their phenomenal rise to superstardom in the 1980s.
