Tickets for this year's V Festival have sold out. All 130,000 tickets for the two-day event have now gone.

Held over the weekend of August 20 and 21, the V Festival boasts an impressive line-up of bands that will grace two venues.

Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, festival organisers are clearly keen to make it a special weekend and Oasis and Scissor Sisters are headlining the festival.

Franz Ferdinand and teenage soul sensation Joss Stone are also on the bill.

Other acts include Kaiser Chiefs, Doves, The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Dizzee Rascal, Ian Brown, Robert Plant and The Zutons.

The festival will take place in Weston Park, on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border, and Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex.

Virgin Radio and Channel 4 will broadcast the weekend's goings-on.

Tickets are now changing hands on internet auction site eBay but festival director Bob Angus warned: "Don't buy from unofficial outlets or auction sites - it could lead to disappointment.

"My advice to the unlucky ones that didn't get a ticket is try again next year."

Franz Ferdinand's frontman, Alex Kapranos, said: "We heard what a great festival V was to play and wished we could have been there.

"We're excited to be playing the main stage and co-headlining with the Scissor Sisters."
