Yorkshire are without Michael Vaughan and Matthew Hoggard at Durham today but Tim Bresnan is back as the Division One strugglers seek a first Liverpool Victoria County Championship win this season.
Hoggard is on international duty while Vaughan faces a lengthy lay-off after another operation on his knee. Bresnan returns after his spell with the England one-day team while Mitch Claydon and Joe Sayers are also in a 12-man squad.
Durham welcome back captain Dale Benkenstein, after he missed two matches with a knee injury while wicketkeeper Phil Mustard, who missed the match against Leicestershire to be with his partner as she gave birth, is back on board.
Opening batsman Jon Lewis and bowler Ottis Gibson return after being rested for the Twenty20 Cup. Stephen Harmison, Liam Plunkett and Paul Collingwood are with England.
Third-place Hampshire welcome back Shane Warne and Sean Ervine against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge. Neither has played for the county since the club's last Champions hip match against Durham on June 20.
Warne has returned from Australia after receiving treatment on his shoulder while Ervine missed the Twenty20 campaign to strengthen the knee he had reconstructed in October. John Crawley also returns after resting for the Twenty20.
Nottinghamshire will be without wicketkeeper Chris Read, who has been rested following his exploits with England A for whom he scored an unbeaten 150 against Pakistan, so David Alleyne fills in.
