Two people have been taken to hospital after the car they were in overturned in a Warwickshire country lane.

The accident happened in Hardwick Lane, Studley, at about 7.10am today (Friday).

The driver and passenger were not trapped inside the vehicle, although it is not yet known how the car came to be on its roof.

 A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: ”A woman passenger in her 40s had neck, back, pelvis and leg pain.

"She was immobilised with the use of a spinal board and neck collar and a pelvic splint was applied. She was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire."

The driver had neck and back pain and was taken by land ambulance to the Alexandra Hospital, in Redditch.
