Two women were killed and several others, including a three-year-old girl, were injured when a huge inflatable sculpture was blown across a park in County Durham yesterday.
Last night the girl was in a serious condition at Newcastle General Hospital after the giant artwork broke free from its moorings at Riverside Park, Chester-le-Street, at about 3.30pm.
The massive 'bouncy castle' tipped up vertically in the air with about 30 people trapped inside its inflated tunnels and rooms.
Durham Police confirmed a 38-year-old woman and a 68-year-old woman were taken to University Hospital in Durham where they later died. Eleven other people, who were also injured, were treated at the same hospital.
