Two men have been freed on bail after being arrested in connection with an early morning robbery and assault in Worcestershire.
Officers said the victim of the offence, a man whose age has not been released, remained in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the incident in Evesham.
Witnesses to the attack, which happened between 5.45am and 6.20am on Sunday, are being sought. Police believe that a number of men and youths were involved in the offence, which occurred in an area bounded by Davies Road, Fairfield Road and Four Pools Road.
A police spokesman said: "We believe there will have been a number of people around in this area at the time - perhaps taking their dogs for a walk or making an early start to the day - who can shed light on exactly what happened to the victim."
