Thousands of commuters faced chaos on the roads this morning when a busy Birmingham tunnel was blocked.

A broken down car in St Chad's tunnel on the Queensway caused tailbacks stretching on to the Aston Expressway and M6.

Traffic began to clear after the car was towed at around noon today.
