Mutual Tipton and Coseley Building Society has handed out some Christmas cheer by awarding cheques to its “12 charities of Christmas”.

The Tipton and Coseley Charitable Foundation donates at least £10,000 each year to health and education community based charities from across the West Midlands.

Charities are asked to submit a donation request and a panel chooses to allocate funds.

The ’12 charities of Christmas’ to have received Charitable Foundation funding, which totals £6,743, Age Concern, Sedgley, Castle toy library, Walsall, Christians Against Poverty, Tipton, Crossroads Care, Dudley, Deaf Blind UK, Dudley, Dudley Canal Trust (Trips), Roseville Methodist Church, Coseley, RSPB’s Sandwell Valley Project, Sandwell Citizen Advocacy, Tipton Listeners Service, Tipton Youth Project and West Bromwich Arthritis Care.
