Three more people will appear in court on Monday charged with the murders of three Birmingham men who were killed as they tried to protect shops and homes from looters, police said.
Haroon Jahan, 21, and brothers Shazad Ali, 30, and Abdul Musavir, 31, were hit by a car in the early hours of August 10 during riots in Winson Green. They were pronounced dead in hospital.
West Midlands Police said three more men from Birmingham aged 20, 25 and 30 have been charged with the murders.
They will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court.
The men, who have not been named by police, were arrested at a flat in the Druids Heath area of Birmingham shortly before 3pm on Friday.
A total of eight people have now been charged with the murders.
Ian Beckford, 30, Everton Graham, 29, Joshua Donald, 26, Adam King, 23, and a 17-year-old male who cannot be named have been charged with murder and have been remanded in custody.
Liam Young, 28, from Winson Green, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
Five other men - aged 17, 23, 29, 32 and 33 - have also been arrested in connection with the investigation and bailed pending further inquiries.
