The body of a young man was found in a Birmingham park on the same day Prime Minister David Cameron visited a community project there.
A woman made the grim discovery as she walked through Ward End Park, in Washwood Heath, at 1pm on Tuesday.
Police said the body was that of an 18-year-old man.
It is understood the body was found slumped on the ground in undergrowth next to a tree.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called to Ward End Park following reports of a body being found. We are not treating the death as suspicious. The matter has been referred to the coroner’s office.”
Mr Cameron had visited the park on Tuesday while in the city for the Conservative Party Conference to see how delegates had helped to transform a run-down building known as TS Dolphin so it could be used as a community centre.
