A 16-year-old boy is in hospital after he was stabbed in Birmingham.

The teenager was discovered in Alum Rock Road, Ward End, on Saturday afternoon following an incident believed to have involved a number of young men, police said.

He remains in a stable condition in hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone in the Alum Rock Road, Woodwells Road or Monk Road area at around 5.15pm on Saturday to call CID at Queens Road police station on 0845 113 5000.
