Two brothers from Solihull who both worked as teachers at primary schools have appeared in court charged with downloading indecent images of children.

Magistrates sitting in Solihull, ruled that Timothy Davis, 37, and Christopher Davis, 43, should both stand trial at Crown Court.

Timothy Davis, of Whitford Drive, Monkspath, faces four allegations of making indecent images between 2003 and August this year.

His brother, who lives at the same address, is accused of seven counts of the same offence alleged to have been committed between the same dates.

Neither brother was required to enter a plea to the charges and both men were granted conditional bail to reappear before magistrates for a committal hearing on December 21.

West Midlands Police has confirmed that both men were suspended from their teaching posts once the allegations against them came to light.
