Sutton Coldfield’s Contract Fire Security has created 60 new jobs following a run of new contract wins worth £3.2 million.
The firm, owned and managed by brothers Steven and Gary Quirke, marked its quarter century last year by hitting £25 million turnover and hopes to increase this to £28 million this year.
Steven said: “We have had a tremendous start to the year picking up significant business from leading high street groups and major UK organisations.
“This has added nearly 4,000 additional site visits to our schedule. As a result, we are looking for fire and security, fire extinguisher and installation engineers across the country.”
A number of acquisitions has established CFS in strategic locations around the country, including Scotland, London and the South.
Gary added: “Over the years we have focused on providing the leading edge technology and constantly improving the effectiveness of services and this has led to CFS pioneering many aspects of the industry, which is recognised by our customers.”
Sutton MP Andrew Mitchell has toured the head office in Coleshill Road.
He said: “It is great to see a home grown company with such entrepreneurial spirit based here in Sutton Coldfield.
“Steven and Gary are passionate about what they do and have built a very capable team who share their enthusiasm and are working together to expand further.
“CFS is a great local success story which was recently demonstrated when they successfully secured contracts for the London 2012 Olympics.”
