A schoolgirl who survived a suicide pact with a best friend is to visit her grave in a bid to recover from the ordeal.
The teenager, aged 15, from Longbridge, took a drug overdose in September last year with 13- year- old Laura Rhodes of Neath, south Wales.
The girl, who cannot be identified, was revived despite taking an identical number of pills as her friend.
The pair hatched the plan because they did not want to be parted, an inquest into Laura's death heard.
The mother of the 15-yearold said she was in a secure unit in the Midlands and had made numerous attempts on her life since last September.
She said: "My daughter has never accepted Laura's death, but the doctors hope a visit to her grave might help her face up to it at last.
"The trip won't happen immediately, but that's the plan when she gets a bit better. She is now in her second secure unit. She has tried to kill herself a number of times and still makes little attempts at taking her life."
