Six people were injured when two cars collided in south Birmingham on Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened at the junction of Pershore Road and Pebworth Close in Selly Park at about 2.30pm.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Three males and a female were treated for various injuries including neck, head and facial injuries and were immobilised using neck collars and spinal boards as a precaution before being taken to hospital.

“A further male and female were treated for minor injuries.

“All six patients were taken to either the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham or City Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
