A serious road traffic collision in Birmingham city centre on Tuesday afternoon brough rush hour traffic to a standstill.
Officers were called to Pump Island at Dartmouth Circus on Dartmouth Middleway at around 4:30pm after reports that a cyclist had been in collision with a lorry.
The incident caused significant traffic disruption around the area including the A38 Aston Expressway in both directions.
The island was closed and all roads leading to the island were also closed.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
