A man and a woman were taken to hospital and five other people suffered minor injuries following a five-vehicle crash in Warwick.

The incident happened on the A46 near Leek Wootton, heading towards Stratford-upon-Avon, at about 1pm on Friday.

The driver of one car, a 22-year-old man, suffered neck pain, knee pain and had a fractured wrist. He was transferred by land ambulance on blue lights to Warwick Hospital.

The female driver of another car suffered neck pain and minor facial injuries. She received treatment on scene before being taken to Warwick Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Five other people were walking wounded with minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
