A secretary has admitted she stole more than £7,000 from a Solihull plumbing company where she worked.

Rebecca Cunningham (26) of Sherbourne Road, Acocks Green, pleaded guilty to two charges of theft at Warwick Crown Court yesterday.

The first charge involved the theft of £3,074.08 from her boss Graham Deakin between December 2007 and March last year. The second offence related to the theft of a further £4,252.45 from his company Rapid Building and Plumbing Services Ltd between June and October last year.

She faces two separate charges to reflect the periods before and after Mr Deakin’s business became a limited company.

Her barrister Raglan Ashton asked for a pre-sentence report to be prepared on her, pointing out she had no previous convictions, although she had been given a police caution.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report and Cunningham was granted bail.
