A second person has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of a father and son in West Heath on Saturday.
The 18-year-old from Ladywood has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and a possession of an offensive weapon.
He was due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates on Wednesday morning.
Martin Thompson, 53, and Edward Thompson, 18, were injured during the incident on Saturday night.
Emergency services were called to Alvechurch Road, at 9.53pm after the police staff member and his son suffered serious stab injuries.
A 15-year-old boy from Northfield appeared before magistrates on Tuesday charged with two counts of attempted murder.
