The search continued today for the mother of newborn twins who were abandoned in a cardboard box at a Birmingham hospital car park.
The infants, a boy and a girl, were discovered in a sleeping bag inside the box by a security guard at Heartlands Hospital at about 9.30am yesterday.
Police were examining CCTV of the car park to try and trace the mother.
The boy weighed 6lb 13oz and the girl, who was 4lb 5oz, survived freezing temperatures before they were found.
Both were initially described as in a stable condition but the girl was later said to be "poorly, but stable".
Earlier, Fay Baillie, head of midwifery at the hospital, said midwives named the twins Holly and Joseph.
"They are both in incubators, they are breathing on their own, and they have not had anything to feed yet but they have a drip up to give them the fluids they need," she said.
