Detectives searching for missing teenager Jack Macleod made a direct appeal for a reveller who may hold vital information to come forward.

The man was drinking in Benjamin Satchwells, in Leamington Spa, Warwick-shire, on December 13 and police believe he may be able to help in the investigation into 17-year-old Jack's disappearance nearly three weeks ago.

He talked to a group of women about Jack and they urged him to contact Crimestoppers but so far he hasn't.

Jack, who is also known as Jack Fisher, vanished after a night out on December 3.

Police have failed to trace him and last week turned their attention to searching the river.

Detective Inspector Bob Bradbury, who is leading the investigation, yesterday said: "The man engaged with a group of ladies from before 9pm and talked about Jack and his disappearance.

"One of the ladies asked, and he agreed, to contact Crimestoppers, which he hasn't done, and so we would implore you to make that contact."

The man was wearing a blue puffer jacket and drank half pints.

Detective Sergeant Steve Beardsmore assured him of confidentiality. ..SUPL:
