Birmingham’s Rep Theatre is throwing open its doors for a huge sale of stage costumes and props which have featured in its famous productions.
The clear-out is being held before the theatre closes for 18 months while a new £193 million library is completed next to its Centenary Square home.
Visitors will be able to snap up a piece of theatrical history, a costume for a fancy dress party or a unique ornament for the home on Saturday.
The sale will include costumes from A Christmas Carol, The Wizard of Oz and hundreds of period dramas.
Marketing manager Paul Reece said: “Whether you’re in amateur dramatics or would just like something quirky and unique for your home the grand sale should be a fun day.”
The Rep will close after a Christmas show later this year and tour other city theatres.
