A Midland anti-war protester, who has spent five years heckling the Prime Minister in Parliament Square, could soon have his portrait on display at the Imperial War Museum.
Brian Haw, the 58-year-old former carpenter from Redditch, recently became the subject of an artwork by t he award-winning British artist Nick Botting.
Botting has written to the museum to ask for the tribute to be put on display.
"I explained to them that I thought Brian was key to our time," he said. "I am extremely hopeful that they will take it on, and they have told me there is a very reasonable chance it will get in."
Mr Haw is currently being prosecuted for the size of a placard he put up in May.
