West Midlands Police have confirmed the identity of skeletal remains discovered near Walsall in April this year.
The remains were discovered by contractors who were working at Westgate, Aldridge.
Following forensic examinations, officers have confirmed they are that of Ronald Bland, born in 1957, of no fixed address.
Detective Inspector Darren Crutchley from Force CID said: "It is known that Ronald Bland had been living at an address in the Aldridge area during March 2005.
"At this stage of the investigation I can confirm that we are not looking for any other person in connection with is death, which remains unexplained."
