Police in Birmingham are appealing for information from the public about a missing Bartley Green man.

Gamele Bahakam, a 40-year-old man from Kitswell Gardens, is known to friends and family as 'Jimmy',

He was last seen by a friend on Monday, September 6.

Gamele is described as mixed race, approximately five feet three inches tall, with a slim build and short brown hair.

When last seen he was wearing a blue waterproof jacket with a white stripe up each arm, blue jeans and black trainers. He has a Liverpool accent despite living in the Birmingham area for many years.

Gamele is known to frequent in Birmingham city centre, particularly in the areas of Lower Essex Street and the Central library.

Officers and family are particularly concerned as Gamele reported feeling unwell several days before his disappearance, but has not collected his prescription.

The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are also said to be out of character.
